Kickin’ Smoked Salmon Sandwich

Smoked salmon isn’t just a pleasing appetizer to serve to your special friends and family! Combined with the right flavours and textures, smoked salmon can be prepared as a light refreshing dish that will make one’s tastebuds explode with joy! Try this easy and fun “Kickin’ Smoked Salmon Sandwich” that will make your friends and family begging for more!

Ingredients:

1 Fillet of Smoked Salmon (your preference)

2 Ciabatta Buns

1 Head of Romaine Lettuce

1 Frsh Garden Tomato

1 English Cucumber

 

Sauce Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons of Sour Cream

1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise

2 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese or Goat Cheese (your preference)

Juice From Fresh Squeezed Lemon

1 Teaspoon Dill

Pinch of Garlic Power

Salt & Pepper to Taste

1 Teaspoon of Chilli Flakes

 

Directions:

Combine all sauce ingredients into small mixing bowl and whip until all ingredients are well combined.

Toast Ciabatta buns until the inside of the bun is lightly toasted. Spread sauce onto inside of bun. Slice Cucumber horizontal with a vegetable peeler making ribbon like peels of cucumber. Slice Tomato. Add smoked fish on top of sauce spread on the bottom of the bun; add lettuce, cucumber and tomato. Add Salt & Pepper for taste.

(Serve with your preferred garden side dish!)

 

Wine Pairing Recommendation – Quails Gate Rose’

This dry Rose’ provides a fresh and juicy fruit flavoured taste with hints of red berries that linger on the palate. Pairs well with a melody of cured and smoked meats; which complements this sandwich delightfully!
